Artisan shears, launching soon

Birdies™

Precision detail shears designed for controlled, close work. Engineered in Zürich for tasks where the quality of the cut matters most.

Engineered & made in Switzerland

A smaller instrument with serious mechanics

Birdies™ is not being developed as a decorative craft tool. It is a compact cutting instrument built around the same question that defines every SWISSORS® product: how should two blades meet, move and remain serviceable over time?

01

Point contact philosophy

Good scissors depend on controlled blade-to-blade contact along the cut. Birdies™ is being developed around this principle, with a blade system intended to keep the cutting action clean, precise and consistent.

02

Modular by design

The Birdies™ platform is designed around separate blade and handle elements. This allows different blade types and handle formats to be developed from the same underlying system.

03

Flat-ground blade logic

Traditional high-end scissors often rely on complex inner blade geometries that are difficult to reproduce and service. Birdies™ takes a more modern approach, using precise mechanical control so that blade production and future servicing can remain practical.

Application

For close, controlled cutting

Birdies™ is being developed for work where large scissors are too broad and ordinary craft scissors lack the necessary feel. The first applications are expected to include bonsai, floristry, fine trimming, craft and studio work, and other detail cutting tasks.

Inspired by tradition. Developed for repeatability.

The starting point for Birdies™ is the precision associated with the best Japanese bonsai scissors. The development path is different: a modular, Swiss-engineered platform designed for repeatable manufacturing, controlled blade interaction and future blade variations.
